Don't simply put 'Halal' label on your products.

Muslim is forbidden to eat pig and others products that are not slaughtered according to Islamic religions. Eating halal issue is very important agenda in Muslim daily life. As a Muslim, I also have to eat halal food, no compromise on this !.

Eating halal food is important because one's can be place in hell if he or she eat Haram food means forbidden food like pig. Those Muslim who eat haram food, his prayer or if he asking help from God, the God will answer his or her help. This is what I as a Muslim belief and really hold to it. I don't want to go hell after I die !.

Therefor, if I buying any food for my family, especially when comes to meat, oils and something to do with fats, I really look for recognize halal label that been issued by Authorized Local Islamic community.

The simple concept also apply if I want to bring my family for eating out in restaurant in Malaysia. As some of you may know that Malaysian consist of various races and religions. If you are Muslim, be careful when eating out in Malaysia. Not all Malaysian restaurant is Halal Restaurant. If you doubt asked the owner if their restaurant is halal or not, if they said halal, asked for Halal Certification.

That why The Kentucky Fried Chicken, MacDonald and many others so call American fast food sold in Malaysia been certified halal in Malaysia and one thing for sure that they make million's of money every year !.

So, if you want to capture this some said 3 trillions dollars market or you want label your products halal make sure you ask local recognize Islamic Authority or Community. You products must be certified Halal by Local or Islamic Authority, and one's certified then you can put the 'Halal' words or logo as 'co-branded' to your product label. This is the best way.

If someone simply put the word 'halal' or any kind of halal logo, without the certification or recognition from Muslim Authority or Community, he or she have a big risk here. If someone or Muslim communities found that your product's contains non halal such as pig and many other products that forbidden to Muslim, the Muslim community will spread the news among Muslim.

We live in information ages, there for this informations can be spread with an hour to the whole Muslim community to the local Muslim and it can go up to the whole country even the world!. It's is because Muslim is very, very sensitive about eating non-halal or haram products.

Why I know this ?. It happen in Malaysia once,. It begin with a news in one of our major news, saying that the local Muslim Community have raid a local well known bread manufacturer which is belief to use non-halal ingredient for producing bread. After that I, my self received hundred of SMS from many people known and unknown tell this news.

The result, the bread with that brand have been boicot from the Muslim Coomunity and I heard that they are loosing the market share because not just Muslim don't want to buy that bread but it also because the Muslim Shop owners also don't want to sell that product.

Therefore, don't just simply label your products with the word 'Halal'. Get local Islamic comunity to certified and recognize your Halal label.
